A fungus is not a band settling down — it’s a band growing up. Still unpredictable, still restlessly creative, but more confident in the space between the noise. On “Field Relief”, a fungus trades immediacy for depth. The songs unfold gradually, revealing intricate textures and dynamic shifts that echo the spirit of ’90s icons like Gastr del Sol, Unwoundand Slint, as is the case with kindred spirits like caroline, Black Country, New Road and black midi.
